Open for Business

Well, it's been a packed month and a half!  It's January 2011 and to start the New Year I'm proud to say, Fresh Urban Flowers is complete and open for business!  We've already produced three weddings out of the new space and many more to come.  Here are the last of the renovation pictures.  It was a lot of work but totally worth it!

I LOVE the floors!  And wallpaper and wall colors and stained wood...
Everything is better than I imagined it to be.  I can not wait for you to see it all in person!  Enjoy the pictures for now.

Floors, Floors, Floors

These floors have put up some kind of fight!  I thought we would never see the concrete but here it is...

Now, we are looking into stains for a more grey cement color.  Once these are finished we can spray the ceiling and then - on to the walls!

Let the Demo Begin!

Talk about some stress relief along with a great work out!  If you don't mind getting dirty, try pulling up carpet and taking down ceiling tiles!  We started demo this weekend and got a long way.  Between what I like to think of as "black dirt granules" falling from the ceiling tiles and so much dust we all needed masks, we made some fabulous head way...

Gray outdoor carpet - YUCK

The carpet pad is one of the most disgusting things ever.

Look! We found wood!

 That's alot of ceiling tiles.

Funny how people just stuff things up there hoping it will never be found.
Why oh why did you use so many nails in the stairs?

And DOUBLE tacked the carpet, all the way around the building!
We really got to know our hammer and crowbar.

Thank you Andrew, for your introduction to the Bag Butler (truly life changing) and for your height; wonderful for taking down ceiling tile!

 Hubby Hard at Work!

Fashion Statement.  Enough said.

All in a day's work.  Check back soon for more updates!
Look out San Antonio, Anteloquy-Fresh Urban Flowers is coming!

 View from Third Street

It even has a garage!

Workspace where all the flowers will be created!

We are picking paint colors and wallpaper, choosing flooring finishes and designing a sign for the front.  I can't believe its really here!  I will keep you up to date on all the renovations.  Have a wonderful Monday!

Let the Countdown Begin!

So for those of you who don't know yet, I have HUGE news...
I am realizing my dream of Anteloquy!  An actual shop in downtown San Antonio!  I will be moving in over the next month and up and running in November!  It is a "floral studio" where I will create and sell arrangements for all of San Antonio, focusing on the downtown area.  Hop on over to the facebook page to read more and see pictures.  I will be posting before pictures of the space so you can follow the progress.  Thank you for all your support and I will see you at Anteloquy soon!

Have a fabulous Monday everyone!

Technology...Grr

I love an iPad as much as the next person but with all the new technology comes new technology glitches and talk about testing ones patience!  My email has been acting up and that's a life line these days.  Anyhow, to take the stress off I like to focus on flowers.  Flowers bring a calm to me a computer will never be able to do.  Here are a few pics of the latest designs.  Also, check out this article.  It highlights some of the many benefits of surrounding yourself with flowers!
